Shades of sweet embodies values such as giving, charity and social responsibility. In shades of sweet, young people between the ages of 15-18 that come from the toughest places in Israeli society at Israel’s social and geographical periphery get a chance. These kids come from the worst backgrounds, most of them had already dropped out of every educational framework and spend their time on the streets.
In Shades of sweet they learn a new skill – how to make chocolate and become chocolatiers. They get paid full salaries for their work and learn other important skills crucial for their occupational suitability in the future, such as: arriving on time, responsibility, perseverance, team work, coping with authority and many more. They are surrounded with a professional team on the chocolate side and a team of social workers and professional youth advisors.
All this support system is built around them whiles working with the sweetest and most fun thing in the world…. Chocolate!
