Tahini Cookies

Cookies, they always feel like the ultimate treat, despite the fact that they are so simple to make.

Tahini cookies, enjoy the benefit of also being healthy and a yummy way to consume calcium and iron  success of these cookies also depends on the quality of tahini you use. 

And they are DELICIOUS with coffee…

Makes about 40

420 gr./15 oz. /3 cups All-Purpose flour

200 gr./7 oz. /1 cup Caster Sugar

240 ml./1 cup Raw Tahini

200 gr./7 oz. Soft Unsalted Butter

10 gr./ 2 tsp Baking Powder

  1. Preheat the oven to 180°c/350°F/4 Gas. Line two large baking sheets with baking parchment.
  2. Put all ingredients in a mixer bowl with a dough hook attachment, and stir until dough unifies and just forms a ball.
  3. Shape into walnut-size balls, about 40ish…, and place on the baking sheets, spacing well apart.
  4. Bake for 12 minutes. Not a minute more!

The Tahini cookies are quite fragile,,, and tend to crumble. So be patient, and let them cool COMPLETLEY before you transfer them out of the baking sheets.

 

 

Store them in an airtight container and enjoy them with a good hot cup of black coffee, tastes best with good company around
